Why is my data not syncing to my other devices?
Foodnoms can sync your data with either iCloud or Foodnoms Cloud. If your data isn't syncing between devices, work through these common causes:
Check that sync is enabled. In Foodnoms settings, go to Data & Integrations (on Mac, Data & Sync), select your sync method under Synced Data, and make sure Enable Sync is turned on. Do this on each device.
Use the same sync method on all devices. All your devices must use the same sync method: either iCloud or Foodnoms Cloud, not a mix of both.
Use the same account on all devices. For iCloud, make sure you're signed into the same Apple Account on all devices. For Foodnoms Cloud, make sure you're signed into the same Foodnoms account. If you use Sign in with Apple, signing in with different Apple Accounts creates separate Foodnoms accounts.
Check iCloud-specific settings. If you sync with iCloud, verify that Foodnoms is enabled in the Settings app under [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud (on Mac, System Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud). Also check that you have enough iCloud storage, and that your account isn't restricted by parental controls or device management.
Check your device. Internet connectivity issues and Low Power Mode can both delay syncing.
Check the sync status. The Status row is shown with your sync settings. See "What the Status Messages Mean" below.
Try toggling sync. If everything looks correct, turn Enable Sync off and back on.
Still not syncing? Contact support@foodnoms.com and include a diagnostics report, which you can generate from the Diagnostics screen in Foodnoms settings.
What the Status Messages Mean
Ready: Syncing is working on this device. Check the status on your other devices.
Downloading, Uploading, or Pending: Syncing is in progress. Give it a few minutes.
Starting Up: Wait a minute or so for syncing to begin.
Critical Error: Update to the latest version of Foodnoms.
Stopped or Not Running: Tap the Restart button that appears, or work through the steps above.
Signed Out: Sign in to your account to resume syncing.
