New Widgets, Shareable Summaries, and Kitchen Smart Scale Support
December 22, 2025

2025 has been an incredible year for Foodnoms. As we close out the year, we're thrilled to release one final update featuring several fun and exciting new features. You can grab the update directly from the App Store.
Redesigned Widgets
Foodnoms was one of the first apps to offer Home Screen widgets when they were introduced back in 2020. (Remember before Home Screen widgets were a thing?)
We wanted to refresh the widgets to reflect the new Foodnoms look and feel, as well as introduce several top-requested features from over the years: 7-day charts, macros, and a streak widget that shows your current logging streak.
The goals widgets now use the new ring-style visualization. If you prefer the compact bar-style visualization for goals, please switch to the new "Goals List" widget.

We've also made performance improvements to ensure widgets update more reliably.
Streak Details
Speaking of streaks, there's a new detail view to track your logging habits over time. Get a visualization of which days you logged by month or by year. If you're familiar with GitHub's contribution visualization, you'll definitely want to check out the year view for a similar chart.

Shareable Summaries
Ever feel compelled to share how you're doing on your goals, what your current logging streak is, or how much you've eaten today? This feature is for you! You can now share any chart in the app as an image.

Sharing is a great way to celebrate your wins and spread the word about Foodnoms. If you share on social media, tag us so we can cheer you on!
Kitchen Smart Scale Support
How cool would it be if you could log gram-accurate food data without having to type in the grams? Well, you can now thanks to kitchen smart scale support. It works with standard BTLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and doesn't require any pairing. Simply turn on a compatible scale and start weighing your food.

Here is the current set of compatible scales (Note: links are Amazon affiliate links, which help support Foodnoms):
Acaia Lunar
Acaia Pearl
If you already have a Bluetooth-enabled kitchen scale and would like to request support, please email us at support@foodnoms.com.
This update also includes several bug fixes, crash fixes, and performance improvements.
Go grab the update now and try out these new features. We'd love to hear what you think!
Happy Holidays!
